Professor Tim Boatswain has a great passion for education and rich experience in higher education in the UK for more than 40 years. He has degrees from the University of Birmingham and Professorship from the London School of Economics. He published a range of subjects and lectured at various UK Universities.

Ms. Lee Soy Mei, Esther
The Academic Director, Ms Esther Lee Soy Mei, is one of the directors of TMC Academy and she is also the Head of the Hawthorn Language School at TMC Academy. She is also the Academic Director of TEG International College and the Academic Director overseeing the Overseas Collaboration Academic Courses in China, Vietnam, and Myanmar. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from Columbia International University, USA and a post-graduate certificate in TEFL, Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Miss Esther Lee has been in the training field since 1973 and also holds an ACTA certificate (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) by WSQ.
Ms Pauline Ang
Acting Academic Director
Ms Pauline Ang graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from the National University of Singapore and she also holds an LCCI Higher Diploma in Accounting.
She started her career with TMC Academy in 1990 as a Lecturer teaching Mathematics, Statistics, IT and Accounting modules. She was promoted to Dean of School of Information Technology and TMC College and managed a team of lecturers and a range of courses such as O level preparatory course, Diploma, Higher Diploma as well as Degrees from partner universities. She co-led a team of system administrators in the maintenance of the IT services within the company and she was instrumental in the roll-out of the e-learning project on the Blackboard platform. She also played a key role in the quality audits conducted by the authorities as well as universities.
When the EduTrust certification was introduced by the Committee for Private Education (CPE), she was re-designated to lead the Quality Assurance department. She was appointed as the Management Representative (MR) of TMC Academy for all CPE matters in 2010 and continues to be the MR to date. She led the team in successful renewals and interim assessments of the 4-year EduTrust certifications in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
Ms Ang was appointed the Deputy Registrar and subsequently promoted to the Registrar. She oversees the operations in the Registrar’s Office which include student admission, student services, resources, examinations, graduations, quality assurance and academic services.
Ms Ang was promoted to Deputy Academic Director and the Academic Director and oversees the management of Schools and courses in TMC Academy. She still holds the Registrar position.
Mr Raymond Loh Chee Yan
Business and MBA Programme Leader
Mr Raymond Loh obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore, Master of Science (International Marketing) from University of Strathclyde (UK), Specialist Diploma in Teaching & Learning and Advanced Certificate in Training from Institute of Adult Learning, Singapore. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. (Education) in “learning at higher education” with Liverpool John Moore University (UK) and has published several journal articles and presented a research paper in University of Northampton academic conference in 2017.
Raymond has had over 20 years in total of work experience. He had over 10 years of corporate experience in the area of business development and regional marketing in Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and Asia. He is now a full time academia of 10 years and is currently the Principal lecturer of the School of Business and Law at TMC Academy. His portfolio includes lecturing, conducting training and management role.
As a lecturer, Raymond teaches Marketing, Strategy, International Business and Business projects modules at various levels, ranging from Diploma to Degree level. He had taught courses from institutions from Australia such as Monash University, Deakin University and the UK, University of Greenwich, University of Gloucestershire and University of Northampton (UN). He also conducts training and workshops to graduating students to prepare graduates to be career ready. Furthermore, he assists the Academic Director perform various administrative and management duties including co-ordinates academic matters with university partners.
